Three people are charged with theft for allegedly stealing political signs Saturday morning.
The alleged thieves included a father who was driving the vehicle, his daughter, and another juvenile female of no relation.
Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly would not release the name of the man.
The name of the girls were not released because they're juveniles.
When asked why they were stealing signs at State Route 682 and Vore Ridge Road, the individuals said they were just doing it as a prank.
Sheriff Kelly said the signs were all for his opponent - Steve Kane.
Kelly also said this type of theft is not uncommon around election time and all candidates have been victimized, including himself.
The two female juveniles have been cited with theft, while the adult has been cited with contributing to the unruliness of a minor.
