Ohio Baseball Receives its First Official Commit of the Class of 2014

Ohio University received its first official commit for the 2014 baseball class this morning. Badin High School (Hamilton, Ohio) senior Austin Rieman signed his national letter of intent this morning on the first day of the early signing period that runs from November 14th through the 21st.

As reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer, Rieman a right handed hitting infielder and catcher signed the letter this morning after orally committing over the summer.

Rieman, who is currently recovering from shoulder and foot injuries, is ranked as the 32nd best prospect in the state according to recruiting experts MaxPreps.com.

Last season as a junior for the Badin Rams, Rieman hit .446 with 32 RBI on his way to being named the Greater Catholic League Central Player of the Year.
