Portion Of Road Closed Due To Active Meth Lab

UPDATE: 2:29 p.m.  A portion of Western Avenue in Chillicothe remains closed after an active meth lab was discovered inside a home.

Police were serving a search warrant at 52 Western Avenue just before 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Western Avenue is closed between Main Street and Water Street.

Police arrested Hope Mckenzie, 25, and Charles Bundy, 27, on unrelated charges and have also charged them in connection with operating the meth lab.

Officials hope the road will reopen Wednesday afternoon, once the cleanup has concluded.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
