Athens Man Crashes Through Athens Neighborhood

An Athens man has been cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence following a Friday night accident that tore through a Richland Avenue neighborhood.
Athens Police were called to the accident scene shortly before midnight.
The report says Christopher Hull of of 518 Richland lost control of his car just down the street from his home.
Police say Hull's car hopped the curb at 469 Richland, then it struck a utility pole at 475 Richland snapping in half.
Next the car slammed into a wooden ramp at 477 Richland and finally crashed into the front porch of a home at 481 Richland.
Hull's car was totaled but Hull refused medical treatment.
In addition to being cited for OVI, Hull was ticketed for failure to control his vehicle.
