Three men are in a Scioto County Jail Friday after authorities searched a Lucasville home and recovered a large quantity of marijuana and cash connected to a Mexico drug trafficking pipeline.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini said members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force seized 186 pounds of marijuana, approximately $216,000 and eight firearms Friday morning from a residence on Flatwood Fallen Timber Road.

Authorities arrested Adam Casares, 35, of Donna, TX, Marcelino Rodriguez, 37, of Donna, TX and Federick Jordan III., 38, who resided at the Lucasville home.

Donini said the seizure and arrests are connected to a long term investigation regarding thousands of pounds of Marijuana believed to have been brought into the county from Mexico for distribution.

Casares and Rodriguez were each charged with the first degree felony of trafficking in marijuana within the vicinity of a juvenile and the second degree felony of possession of marijuana.

Jordan was arrested on a warrant to arrest on indictment for a fifth degree felony charge of trafficking in marijuana.

Casares and Rodriguez are each being held at the Scioto County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond, and will be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Jordan is being held without bond and awaits arraignment in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.

Donini said the marijuana seized had an approximate street value of $186,000.
