The Fed Hock Lancers improved to 10-3 and remained atop the TVC-Hocking after a 51-41 victory over the second place Belpre Golden Eagles Tuesday night.

Fed Hock played outstanding defense forcing 13 Belpre turnovers. Junior Cliff Bonner had eight steals on the night. The Golden Eagles struggled shooting all night going 17-of-43 from the field. Belpre also did not have one player score in double digits Tuesday night. The Lancers also controlled the boards with a 23-16 advantage over the Eagles.

Fed Hock needed a team effort to beat Belpre after senior leader Max Carney went down with a sprained ankle late in the second quarter. Senior Shawn Parsons led the Lancers with 14 points. Pete Crum chipped in 10 and sealed the game with three clutch free throws with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter. Bonner scored six points in addition to his eight steals.

Nick Therriault led the Eagles with nine points on the night. Ryan Leasure contributed eight points and five rebounds for the Belpre. Austin Forshey also scored nine points for the Eagles.

Fed Hock will face Miller on Friday. The 6-7 Golden Eagles will play their next game against Trimble on January 22.
