A new Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation office opening in Guernsey County is aimed at increasing efficiency for sending evidence to BCI laboratories.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced the new facility Friday.
The Cambridge location will be joining Athens, Richfield, Bowling Green, and Youngstown on the list of BCI offices in Ohio.
Law enforcement agents will be able to submit evidence to the Woodlawn Avenue location every other Wednesday.
DeWine recently touted his department's quick turnaround time for DNA processing, saying the average is now 20 days, compared with more than four months a couple of years ago.
