With the second-half of the season in full swing, the Athens Bulldogs have made their move to the top of the TVC-Ohio. The boys pulled out a big win over Vinton County Friday before taking care of Meigs Saturday to gain a half-game lead in the conference. The Vikings are still very much in the race, so fans will want to keep an eye on how the rest of the season plays out.

The boys half of the TVC-Hocking is still being dominated by the surging Federal Hocking Lancers. They lead Belpre by 2.5 games with just six Hocking games remaining. They still have two key non-conference rematches against Nelsonville-York and Alexander that will be important in keeping a high seed in the sectional tournament.

Both the TVC-Ohio and Hocking in girls play have become two-horse races. Athens still holds a one game lead over Vinton County in the Ohio while Eastern holds a half-game edge over Waterford in the Hocking.
