A Trotwood man is in a Scioto County jail Tuesday facing felony drug charges after a state trooper recovered a large amount of heroin from his vehicle during a traffic stop.

A trooper from the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped Anthony Malone, 42, of Trotwood for a speed violation on U.S. Route 23 Monday night, and discovered 16 grams of heroin in his 2004 Jeep Cherokee.

Malone has been charged with the second degree felony of posession of heroin, which had an estimated street value of $2,400.
