The Athens-Hocking Solid Waste District labor dispute is over.

District attorney Garry Hunter says the union has ratified a tentative contract agreement.

It happened after two previous tentative agreements were rejected by the workers, who are represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

Hunter says he’s in the process of setting up an Athens-Hocking meeting for Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Until the Board approves the agreement, he’s not releasing contract details.

The proposal would cover 15 employees who collect trash and recyclables and operate the district’s recycling center near Chauncey.
