All 88 county's in Ohio now have an easier way to report suspected child abuse.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Serivices has set up one number to link the caller to a child welfare or law enforcement office in their area.

Director Michael Colbert says how important it is for people to be able to report child abuse quickly and easily.

"What we wanted was 1 easy to remember number, so that regular Ohians, should they suspect abuse or neglect, can quickly make a report," says Spokesman Benjamin Johnson.

Johnson says Ohio receives 70-80 thousand reports of abuse or neglect every year.

855-O-H-CHILD will automatically connect the caller to the public agency in their county.
