Most counties in Southeast Ohio lifted their snow emergency levels Monday morning but many schools delayed the start of classes.
Those counties closing schools Monday morning included:
- Athens City Schools
- Coshocton
- Cambridge City
- East Guernsey
- Morgan
- New Lexington
- Zanesville
Vinton County had bumped up its snow emergency from a level-one to level-two during the weekend.
As of Monday morning the sheriff's office lowered the level to level-one as some slick roads persisted.
The National Weather Service called for another one to three inches of accumulation by Monday night.
