Several Fires Set At OU Residence Hall

The Ohio University Police Department was continuing its search for a person who set several fires in TIffin Hall Saturday morning.

OUPD received a report of the fires around 9:20 a.m., Saturday though the fires were thought to have been set at 3:00 a.m.

Investigators determined the fires were started by someone who ignited papers hanging on doors and windows.

While all of the fires were considered minor, in some cases OUPD reported carpet was burnt.

No description of the suspect was offered in the report 2:00 p.m. Saturday and the person responsible was unknown.

Tiffin Hall is a residence hall built in 1954 on OU's East Green.
