Storm System Prompts Flood Watches And Warnings

A line of showers and thunderstorms is bringing with it heavy rains and flooding across Southeast Ohio and portions of West Virginia and Kentucky.

Storms are moving northeast through the region bringing rain along with strong winds and possible hail.

The National Weather Service has issued flood watches for most of Southeast Ohio, Northeast Kentucky and parts of West Virginia. The watches are in effect until 8 p.m. Monday.

Flash flood warnings have also been issued for Adams and Scioto counties until 11:45 a.m. Monday.

Lawrence County is under a flash flood warning until 1:30 Monday afternoon.
