A Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Region

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather warning for much of the state including a winter weather advisory for Southeast Ohio.

The advisory is calling for two to four inches of snow throughout the area.

The advisory will be in effect until 2 p.m. Monday.

The snow had already begun to fall at 1:30 p.m. Sunday depositing as much as two inches by 6:30 p.m.

A developing low pressure system will lift into the upper Ohio Valley through Sunday night.

Precipitation across west central ohio will be in the form of snow or sleet.

The precipitation will transition to all snow Sunday evening with the snow becoming heavy at times.

Thje heaviest snow is expected to fall along and to the northwest of the I-71 corridor.
