Three Ohio student athletes earned NSCA All-America Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year honors.

Ohio football player Beau Blankenship, field hockey player Cathryn Altdoerffer and softball player Alyssa Wolfe earned recognition for their performances on the field and in the weight room from the National Strength and Conditioning Association this week.

229 athletes from 98 schools were honored.

Blankenship rushed for a school-record 1,604 yards in the 2012 and surpassed the 100-yard marker in nine games in his junior season.

Altdoerffer finished her senior season for the Bobcats in the fall of 2012, as a starter in all 17 games. She scored two goals and had five assists for the season.

With softball season in full swing, Wolfe is hitting .274 and slugging at a rate of .452 in 62 at bats.
