The Ohio University women's golf team sits in seventh place after round one of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Saturday. Julie Lechner led the way for the Bobcats with a team-best 81. Lechner's 81 has her sitting tied for 11th overall. Inclement weather created higher than usual scores for all competitors, as the lowest round score was a 77 by Bowling Green's Amy Rutherberg.
Other golfers for Ohio were Angela Codian, Sarah Tranelli, Lauren McKinzie and Kara Brinkmann. Codian finished with an 82 and tied for 15th overall. Tranelli shot an 86 and tied for 43rd overall. McKinzie shot an 87 and tied for 51st overall. Brinkmann rounded out for the 'Cats Saturday with an 89 and tied for 62nd overall.
Ohio will hope for better weather and numbers to improve in the standings Sunday at Bowling Green.
