Women’s Golf: Ohio Remains In Ninth Of MAC Championships

The Ohio women's golf team sits in ninth place after the second round of the MAC Championships held Saturday. The Bobcats shot a 327 on the day, 670 strokes overall, are 69 strokes off tournament leading Kent State. Ohio is also 16 strokes behind the closest team, Northern Illinois. 

Kara Brinkmann was Ohio's top golfer with a 79. This score also has her tied for 15th in the individual competition. She is only 10 strokes off the leader.

Sarah Tranelli shot an 83 and is 39th in the individuals. She improved four strokes from Friday.

Kristen Helmsdoerfer shot an 84 on the day and is now tied for 40th. Lauren McKinzie shot an 81 and is also tied for 40th as well.  

The team adjusted to the fast greens from Friday and improved their all-around scores.

The Bobcats return to play Sunday with their tee time set for 7 a.m.
