Former Ohio point guard D.J. Cooper will participate in his first NBA pre-draft workout with the Portland Trail Blazers Friday morning.

Cooper measured in at 5 feet 10.25 inches and 173 pounds with a 6-foot-5 reach at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. His agent Mike Naiditch said Cooper has added 20 pounds in the last 45 days. Naiditch also said his client underwent physical therapy and measured in at 5-foot-11 with a 6-foot-6 reach recently.

"D.J. was able to totally change his body, loosening up and lengthening some very tight muscles," Naiditch said on the results of Cooper's physical therapy.

In the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft, the Trail Blazers drafted a mid-major point guard in Damian Lillard, who became NBA Rookie of the Year.

Portland owns the 10th, 39th, 40th, and 45th picks in the 2013 draft, and could be looking to draft a point guard in the second round with the possibility of losing backup guards Nolan Smith and Eric Maynor to free agency.

Cooper is the only player in NCAA Division I history with 2,000 points, 900 assists, 600 rebounds and 300 steals in a career.
