Public Asked For Help In Hit And Skip Deaths

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is searching for Paul R. Riggs Jr., 30, of Waverly, Ohio in connection with a  fatal traffic crash that occurred yesterday evening in Pike County.

A warrant for his arrest was issued today by the Pike County Common Pleas Court. He is wanted on three-counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one-count of aggravated vehicular assault.

Riggs was last seen fleeing the scene of the fatal crash at around 7:30 p.m. Monday on River Road in Pike County.

The crash killed driver, Tina L. Ogier, 35, her unborn child and passenger, Mary Jane E. Cooper, 19, all of Beaver, Ohio and injured a 14-year-old-male passenger.

Riggs was last seen wearing black shorts and no shirt.

Ogier was traveling westbound on River Road in a 1998 Plymouth Breeze when a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo traveling eastbound on River Road, went left of center and struck her vehicle head-on.

Ogier and Cooper were pronounced dead at the scene.
