Missing Snake Search Leads To Discovery Of Pot Plants

The Athens County Sheriff's Office says a search for a missing python led to the discovery of multiple pot plants.
Police say Hocking College personnel were looking for a snake that was set loose within the Sand Stone Terrace trailer park when they spotted the plants in plain sight through a window.
A search warrant was executed and police found marijuana plants, powder residue and a snort tube.
Police say a 5-year-old was found in the home, and Children Services was contacted about the child’s well-being.
Evidence was sent to the lab for testing and the investigation is ongoing.
