Police Search For Man Allegedly Involved In Fatal Crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says they are still searching for the Waverly man involved in a traffic accident that killed three people including a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

Police say Paul R. Riggs Jr., 30, is wanted on three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of aggravated vehicular assault.

Riggs was last seen fleeing the scene of the fatal crash around 7:30 p.m. on June 24 on River Road in Pike County.

According to a police report, Tina L. Ogier, 35, was traveling wesbound on River Road when another car traveling eastbound on River Road went left of center and struck her vehicle head-on.

Ogier, her unborn child and a passenger, Mary Jane R. Cooper, 19, were pronounced dead at the scene.  A 14-year-old male passenger was also injured.

Riggs was last seen wearing black shorts and no shirt.
