Two Die in Washington County Crash
< < Back to two-die-washington-county-crashTwo Washington County residents have been killed in an early morning July 4th crash involving a commercial vehicle.
The Marietta Post of the Highway Patrol said the crash occurred on State Route 7 in Marietta at about 5:30 Thursday morning when a truck hauling milk went out of control, crossed into the median striking the guardrail and several trees before coming to rest on its side.
The driver of the 1998 Mack truck, Dwight A. Knapp, 40, of Marietta and his passenger, Chyennea Jo Uppole, 20, of Vincent, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither Knapp nor Uppole were wearing seatbelts at the time.
