Police in Lancaster have identified the driver killed in a collision with a garbage truck Thursday.
The Lancaster Eagle Gazette is reporting Troy Tatman, 38, of Lancaster died Thursday at Grant Medical Center in Columbus from injuries sustained in the crash.
Tatman crashed his 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck head on into a fully loaded garbage truck on West Fair Avenue around 7:45 a.m.
Police estimated Tatman was driving at about 60 mph. The pickup truck caught fire after the crash. Tatman was freed from the vehicle after firefighters put out the flames.
The driver of the garbage truck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
