Ohio University wrestling coach Joel Greenlee announced Wednesday that former Bobcat All-American Germane Lindsey would join the coaching staff for 2013-14 campaign.
During his time as a Bobcat Lindsey was voted team captain three years in a row. His career in the green and white culminated in 2010 at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, when he finished in sixth place to earn All-American honors.
Lindsey is no stranger to the Ohio wrestling staff. During the 2011-12 season he served as a volunteer assistant for the Bobcats and played a key role in Ohio winning a regular season MAC title. Lindsey replaces former Ohio assistant Quincy Osborn, who has taken an assistant coaching job at the University of Buffalo.
Lindsey comes back to Athens after spending a season coaching his high school alma mater, Moeller (Cincinnati). During his tenure he helped coach Moeller to a top-four finish at the Ohio State Wrestling Tournament and coached two individual state champions.
