Portions Of The Region Under A Flash Flood Watch

A flash flood watch is in effect until 5 a.m Saturday morning for portions of the WOUB coverage area.
The National Weather Service (NWS) says rounds of showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Friday night increase the risk of flash flooding.
The NWS says most areas can handle between 2 to 2.5 inches of rain without serious flash flooding. However, small streams may not be able to handle more than 2.5 inches of rain over a period of a few hours.
