As the start of school approaches the Ohio State Highway Patrol wants drivers to remember to watch out for stopped school buses.

Drivers are required to stop at least 10 feet back from busses displaying red flashing lights and an extended stop arm.

From 2010 to 2012, 4,176 drivers were cited for failing to stop for a school bus when it was loading or unloading children.

Trooper say people should also plan ahead and allow extra time for these school bus stops.
