Jessica Makosky talks with Skattoo about their debut album "One Shot"

On this edition of Conversations from Studio B, WOUB's Jessica Makosky talks with members of area band Skattoo about their debut CD, One Shot.

The band, which includes Elena Gallagher (guitar, vocals, piano), Nick Collura (guitar, banjo, vocals), Todd Parish (drums, vocals), Kat Givens (vocals), Scot Givens (piano, accordion) and Mike Makosky (bass), was originally formed for the Diamond Music Festival as a one-time group.

Instead of calling it a day after one show, the band decided to continue playing around Southeast Ohio, including gigs at Uncle Buck's Riding Stable & Dance Barn and this year's Boogie on the Bricks.

On this show, Makosky talks with Skattoo about recording, mixing and mastering One Shot (which took place at Insea Sound Shop, Disjointed Records and Sunset Records--each owned and operated by members of the band), and plays tracks from the album.

For more information about Skattoo, including song clips and show dates, visit the band's Facebook page.
