Former Ohio Bobcat Julian Posey was one of the seven players that signed with the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad, the team announced Monday.

Posey played in two games for the Miami Dolphins last season, but didn’t make the 53-man roster this year. The defensive back was among the 22 players released on Aug. 31.

As a cornerback for Ohio, Posey played in 43 career games and recorded 83 career solo tackles and four interceptions. He also returned kicks for the Bobcats, with 19 returns for 422 yards as a senior.

The Browns currently have Joe Haden, Buster Skrine and Chris Owens atop the depth chart at cornerback, with third round pick Leon McFadden battling for playing time.

Cleveland signed five defensive backs to its practice squad, including sixth round pick Jamoris Slaughter.
