The Ohio soccer team (2-2-1) faced adversity late in Friday night’s game at Niagara (0-5-0), down 1-0 in the final 10 minutes, but Holly Harris came through in the 89th minute to knock in a game-winner for the 2-1 victory.

Harris’ first goal of the season came off an assist by Tonya Frasik on a corner kick, which proved to be the game-winning goal. Harris had five shots, one shot on goal, and one assist throughout the game.

The Purple Eagles, as a team, had five shots in regulation, an area they have struggled with this season, but they found the back of the net first in the 68th minute when Catherine Meyer knocked in her first goal of the season off an assist by Kori Thorne.

Ohio picked up a confidence booster in the 84th minute when Maggie Murnane knocked in her second goal of the season to tie the game at one.

Murnane and Harris’ goals in the final 10 minutes helped the Bobcats pick up their second win of the season, both coming on the road.

Ohio’s next game is on Sunday against Morehead State at Chessa Field. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
