Country and rock fans will find common ground when the Ohio University Performing Arts Series welcomes platinum-selling artist Gretchen Wilson on Nov. 14.

Wilson, who is primarily known as a country singer, is currently touring in support of her Under the Covers album, which features versions of rock songs by Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin and Jackson Browne, among others.

Since her debut single, "Redneck Woman," hit number one on Billboard's country chart, Wilson has established herself as one of Nashville's top-sellers with a number-one album (Here for the Party, 2004) and four other top-10 singles.

After parting with Sony Music in 2009, Wilson launched her own label, Redneck Records, and released the album I Got Your County Right Here that same year.

2013 has turned out to be a busy year for Wilson. In addition to her tour, three albums have already hit shelves: Right on Time in April; Under the Covers in June; and Christmas in My Heart in October.

UPDATE: Rising country star Brandy Clark has just been added to the Nov. 14 Ohio University show. The CMA and ACA-nominated singer-songwriter, who has penned #1 hits for The Band Perry and Miranda Lambert, has been receiving rave reviews for her debut full-length, 12 Stories, including plaudits from Rolling Stone, NPR and The Los Angeles Times.

Show time is 7:30 p.m. in OU's Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Visit www.ohio.edu/performingarts for tickets and information.
