The Rio Grande RedStorm fell to 0-3 in Mid-South Conference play after a straight-sets loss to the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.
Rio Grande kept the first set close, trailing 12-9, but the Blue Racers went on to take 13 of the last 17 points to win the set.
The second and third sets were the same for the RedStorm. They came close but the 15th-ranked Blue Racers were just too strong Rio Grande.
Betsy Schramm led the RedStorm in offense with seven kills while defensive specialist Nicole Ogg led Rio Grande on defense with six digs
The RedStorm have now suffered straight-sets losses three times this season in four losses. They will look to win their first conference game when they travel to the University of the Cumberlands for a 5 p.m. match on Sept. 18.
