Football guru Phil Steele released his mid-season All-Mid-American Conference Team's Thursday with six Bobcats being represented.
The only first-teamer on Steele's list is offensive lineman John Prior. The Portsmouth, Ohio, native had been a stalwart in the trenches until being carted off the field with a leg injury in Saturday's loss to Central Michigan.
Ty Branz, the conference's leading sack-getter, earned second team honors. Branz, a transfer from Iowa Western, has seven sacks on the season. Ohio's leading tackler Ben Russell and punt returner Travis Carrie are also on the second team.
Wide receiver Donte Foster highlights Ohio's third-teamers. The senior captain has 31 receptions for 453 yards and two touchdowns this season. Redshirt sophomore cornerback Devin Bass also made Steele's third team.
The 'Cats are 4-2 on the season and will be looking to bounce back this Saturday in Ypsilanti as they take on Eastern Michigan. Kickoff against the Eagles is slated for 1:00 p.m.
