Millfield Mother Arrested After Appearing Impaired At School

A Millfield mother was arrested on an active warrant after she attempted to pick her children up from Trimble Elementary School on Wednesday and appeared to be impaired, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a report filed by Deputy Sam Disaia, he responded to Trimble Elementary Wednesday in reference to a parent near the school who appeared to be impaired and stumbling. Upon arrival, Glouster police officers were already on scene and had detained the individual.

The woman was later identified as Cindy Losey, 33, of Millfield. Losey allegedly told police that she didn’t believe she was impaired but admitted to using heroin the night before. She allegedly told police that she was trying to pick her children up from school.

It was confirmed that Losey had an active warrant in Athens County and she was detained by Disaia. Athens County Children Services came to the scene and spoke to Losey, who allegedly refused to complete a drug screening for the case worker.

Losey was takento Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and charged on her active warrant.
