After hitting two field goal attempts on Saturday against the Miami RedHawks, Ohio kicker Josiah Yazdani earned Mid-American Conference East Special Teams Player of the Week honors, the first time the kicker has received the honor.
A struggling kicking game at the beginning of the season paved the way for Yazdani to seize the starting job. Since, Yazdani hasn’t missed, hitting all six of his field goal attempts.
Yazdani connected from 24 and 33 yards out, as well as four extra points on Saturday, his highest point outing since the Bobcats faced the Akron Zips on Oct. 5.
Yazdani and the Bobcats hit the road to take on the Buffalo Bulls on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m.
