Snow fell Sunday morning in most of Ohio causing roads to become slick and slowing travel.
ODOT crews were out since early in the day and will be on duty throughout this winter storm, but ODOT warned motorists to use additional caution, reducing their speed, allowing additional travel time and maintaining a safe following distance.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Advisory for most of the region through 7:00 PM Sunday night.
The forecast called for snow accumulations of one to five inches through the period.
Snow and ice was expected to accumulate on surfaces including trees and powerlines.
Travel conditions were predicted to improve late Sunday.
