Rio Grande track and field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Tyler Hannon for the 2014 season.
Hannon, a 6-foot, 190-pound sprinter, completed a very successful career for head coach Paul Close while at Gallia Academy High School, where he graduated in 2011.
“I chose to run track at Rio Grande because of the great athletes and coaches,” Hannon said. “I’m very excited to have the chance to run mid-distance events for the RedStorm.”
Rio Grande will begin its track and field season on Jan. 18 at the Otterbein University Invitational. Starting time is set for 12:30 p.m.
