West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority Recieves Federal Grant

The West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority will recieve a $750,000 federal grant.

Rep. Shelley Moore Capito announced the competitive grant Wednesday from the U.S. Agriculture Department's rural development office.

Capito says the grant will allow the Educational Broadcasting Authority to convert its Charleston production studo from analog to high-defintion digital, benefiting viewes in six states. The funding is part of the USDA's public television transition grant program.

The Educational Broadcasting Authority holds the licenses for all West Virgina Public Radio and West Virginia PBS stations.
