Ohio Men’s Golf Competing In Florida

The Ohio University men’s golf team has been playing in Dade City, Florida in Mid-American Conference match play, hosted by Ball State.

Match play started on Monday, and carried through today. There were a total of three rounds with six MAC teams along with Xavier University and Eastern Kentucky.

The Bobcats took on top-seeded Eastern Michigan in the first round, and were defeated 4-2. Ty Herriott was the only Ohio golfer able to gain an edge on an Eagle opponent.

In round two, the Bobcats took on Toledo, and were dominated. Toledo beat every Bobcat except Brad Lucas, who was able to tie.

In the final round, Ohio was able to pull out their first victory in a 4-2 win over Bowling Green. Peyton White, Andrew Mlynarski, Phil Gieseker and Herriott all won for the ‘Cats.
