Milena Miller, Director of Development at Appalachian Visiting Nurses and Hospice, talks with interns Jen White and Colleen Thoburn about getting into the healthcare industry.
Colleen, from Rocky River, Ohio, is a Speech-language Pathology student at Ohio University.
Jen, from Newcastle, Deleware, is a double major in Long term Healthcare Administration and Health Services Administration.
The students discuss the challenges and rewards from interning at an assisted living community, while also discussing how difficult it is having a high number of patients to one aid, bringing up the ratio between clients and staff.
