Ability To Work: ATCO Disabilities Awareness Festival On March 18th

Host Dr. Carolyn Bailey Lewis is back with fellow Athens City Commission on Disabilities commissioners Robin Brigante and Steve Patterson to talk with Mark Cullison about the ATCO Disability Awareness Festival in March. In its 13th year, the theme this year is "Ability to Work." Growing larger every year, the festival works to highlight the community of the developmentally disabled and their integration into the workforce. Overlooked benefits for employers, the community's involvement, and the role of the economy are all covered when explainging the necessity of inclusion for the developmentally disabled.

The Athens City Commission on Disabilties meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Athens Community Center, the public is encouraged to attend.

ATCO's Disability Awareness Festival will be at the Athens Community Center, on March 18th from 6 to 8:30pm.
