After a record-breaking performance in the Ohio-Miami matchup on Saturday, Nick Kellogg came away with MAC East Player of the Week honors Monday morning.
In his career, Kellogg has made 277 shots from beyond the arc, making him the Mid-American Conference’s all-time record holder for 3’s, tied with Miami’s Landon Hackim. In doing so, he also broke former teammate D.J. Cooper’s record as Ohio’s 3-point leader.
Along with reaching milestones, Kellogg posted consistent stats that propelled the Bobcats to two crucial conference wins on the road last week. He averaged 19.5 points, five assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals.
In Tuesday’s matchup against Bowling Green, Kellogg came away as the leading scorer with 25 points. He also grabbed six boards.
Monday marked the senior’s third time earning MAC East Player of the Week honors this season.
Kellogg will return to the hardwood at the Convocation Center to begin his final MAC tournament run Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. against Ball State.
