The lists of people banning themselves from Ohio's casinos and racinos have grown as the state's gambling industry expands.

Nearly 750 gamblers from 11 states and Ontario excluded themselves from Ohio's four casinos by last month through a voluntary program. That's up from less than 550 in September.

A similar program exists for the racinos, which feature horse racing tracks with slots-style video lottery terminals. About 80 people banned themselves from those facilities by September, when two racinos were open. Now four are open, and the list has nearly doubled.

People can ban themselves for a year, five years or for life.

Officials expect the number of problem gamblers seeking help to increase as there is more awareness and exposure to the industry.
