Heather Dobbins stops by to talk with Wendy McVicker and Becca J.R. Lachman about her newly published collection of poems, In The Low Houses. Realizing her love of language at the early age of 7, Dobbins has passed on this love by having numerous poems published while also teaching English to middle and high school students from Oakland, California then to Memphis, Tenn. Dobbins reads some of her inspired poetry from her life as a teacher and writer, explains what is the meaning of a foolheart, and why she began writing book reviews.
