Even though high pressure is dominating and usually means clear skies, low-level moisture in the atmosphere will cause the heavy cloud cover to continue through today and tomorrow.

There is a slight chance of snow showers before 3 p.m. today, and then more slight chances of rain and snow will last through the evening.

Tonight, temperatures will be in the mid 20s, the coldest night in the extended forecast.

Temperatures will begin to warm up tomorrow and will reach a high of 50 on Monday, and a very unseasonably warm 57° on Tuesday.

A slight chance of rain will be in store for Monday, but Monday night will dry up and remain mostly cloudy through the day on Tuesday.

Rain showers will begin to fall Tuesday night and will continue all day Wednesday. A cold front will pass Wednesday afternoon and the temperatures will fall quite a bit.

This will cause the rain to transition to snow Wednesday night. Christmas Day holds a chance of light snow showers lingering in the area.

Accumulations will be less than one inch.
