Tonight there will be an increase in cloud cover ahead of a cold front.
The cold front will cross the region Friday bringing high chances of showers that will last into Friday night.
Make sure to grab your umbrellas before leaving the house tomorrow, and don't forget to bring them to High School football games.
Friday's overnight low for Athens will not drop enough to bring snow showers into Saturday, but the chance of rain will continue.
The chance of rain persists into Saturday, with scattered showers, specifically in the morning hours.
The lows will drop to below freezing temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday nights which will cause Athens to see its first freeze of the season.
