A Lucasville man was arrested on multiple charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.

According to Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini, detectives and agents from the Attorney General's Crimes Against Children Unit, executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence on Inskeep Road in Lucasville.

Chad Stump, 30, of Lucasville was arrested and charged with five counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.  The charges are 2nd degree felonies.

"Crimes against children are among the worst crimes that we investigate, which is why we are very aggressive in combating these types of crimes," said Sheriff Donini.  "This case remains under investigation, and more charges will be presented to the Scioto County grand jury on a later date."

"Those who share child pornography victimize the children in the images over and over again each time a picture is viewed or a video is watched," said Attorney General Mike DeWine.  "Law enforcement agencies in Ohio work each and every day to identify those responsible for spreading child pornography, and I created the Crimes Against Children Unit so that the state can assist local agencies in stopping the victimization."

Stump is being held on a $100,000 bond and will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Friday.

Officials ask anyone with information concerning the case to contact Detective Jodi Conkel at the Scioto County Sheriff's Office at (740) 351-1091. All calls will remain anonymous.
