Prosecutors in Ohio are bringing conspiracy and bribery charges against the mayor of Youngstown and a county official.

A grand jury has indicted Mayor John McNally and Mahoning County Auditor Michael Sciortino.

The indictments were announced Wednesday by Ohio's attorney general and the prosecutor in Cuyahoga County, where some alleged actions occurred. They say the charges are related to activities that began nearly 10 years ago.

The indictment outlines illegal activities related to a plan to move county offices in Youngstown.

McNally didn't respond immediately to a message seeking comment. Sciortino said he didn't know details of the indictment but will fight the charges.

The attorney general says the charges against McNally are related to his time as a county official, before he became mayor last year.
