Chilicothe police are asking for an information regarding a shoplifting case last month in the city.

It happened at the Certified Oil station on 825 North Bridge Street in the early morning hours of April 14. Investigators say a young white male and a young black male were suspected of shoplifting. A clerk then attempted to stop the two in the park lot.

The white male allegedly brandished a knife and threatening to kill the clerk after merchandise was recovered. Both males were described as being in their late teens or early 20s.

Officers say the suspects fled the area in a dark blue or black four-door sedan. Surveillance photos showed a distinctive silver or gray rear bumper on the getaway car.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Chilicothe police.
