On this edition of Conversations from Studio B, host Wendy McVicker talks with area writer Audrey (Deni) Naffziger about her first full-length collection of poems, Desire to Stay, published by Stockport Flats.
Naffziger's collaborator (and fellow area poet) Jane Ann Devol-Fuller joins the pair as they explore Naffzinger's inspirations behind her poems and the thread that runs throughout her work.
Naffziger's past work includes: three published chapbooks; co-authoring a book of poems (Revenants: A Story of Many Lives) with Fuller; editing Riverwind Literary Magazine for 17 years; and teaching English at Hocking College since 1984.
She also co-founded the Hocking-ATCO Writers' Collaborative, in which Hocking College Creative Writing students worked with adults with disabilities to write poems, prose and song lyrics.
Later, a two-CD set, produced by Naffziger with local musician Bruce Dalzell, was based on writings by the collective.
